At this point, everyone except the triumvirate of power of Ried, Pelosi and Obama that is exploiting the country has figured it out. It no longer matters what we would like to be able to do with government, or even what we would want to do with government, but what matters is what we can afford to do with government. The era of big spending, higher taxes, and rack up debts for later generations has done exactly what has been predicted for the last 40 years. We Are Broke. And soon to be bankrupt both fiscally and politically if we do not make drastic changes now.
Pataki, the three-term governor of New York between 1995 and 2006, said last fall’s elections sent a clear message to Washington. “People believe government is too big, it controls too much of our lives, it spends too much and the solution is to reduce government spending and to reform the entitlement programs and certainly not to raise taxes.
Pataki pointed out that Obama’s own fiscal commission proposed a deal that would have cut more than $3 trillion from the deficit. “Three of the most liberal Democratic senators signed off on that report,” he said. “He can’t agree to any of that?”

The only hope we have right now to prevent us from becoming the next third world nation is to cut taxes, cut spending, and guarantee that the runaway train cannot leave the station ever again. Everyone except the politicians in Washington has gotten the point, its time to change washington.
“We’re seeing at the state level the type of leadership that is missing between Obama and Reid and Pelosi in Washington. It tells a great deal that you have both Republican and Democratic governors across this country understanding that they have to close the deficits in their state budgets without raising taxes and in Washington the Democrats are doing the exact opposite.”

We need to make changes while we still can, we need to return to a government that operates within its means - no debt for future generations to pay off. And we need to begin paying off the debt that this latest givaway has saddled us with that is ruining our economy.

self defense, only obama doesnt see it
India is now permitting armed guards on its shipping craft as a first step towards self defense. This is a nation that has traditionally not permitted weapon ownership of any kind for private citizens, yet Obama is in the process of illegalizing new forms of firearms and making criminals out of law abiding citizens. It is a sad day for this nation when we cannot recognize the basic human right of self defense when many other nations have realized their errors and are moving towards that goal.
In view of the piracy attempts on merchant vessels, the Directorate-General of Shipping will soon issue a notification allowing armed security guards on board Indian merchant vessels .

Leaders should lead ???
so where is this leadership taking us? Obama claims that its the fault of congress we are in debt and we should step up to the plate, do our jobs, and do what he says. "Leadership?", it sounds more like he wants slavish sheep to me. He entered the debt talks long after he should have been involved for the express purpose of wrecking all of the progress that had been made; what, no deal may exist that doesn't have his name in the credits?
President Barack Obama threw the talks on the debt ceiling crisis into turmoil on Monday afternoon by proposing a $600 billion tax hike before even meeting with Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell.

This approach of get involved late, steal any popular idea, and claim to have originated it and claim credit is not leadership, no more than stealing the test of the smartest kid in the class and putting my name on it is good scholarship. Obama, if youre model of leadership is the one you think we should follow, Go Home, congress will get more done without you.

Last Ditch Effort to Jumpstart Economy?
Well, hes tried giving away our tax dollars to his supporters, hes taxed us more than any other president in history, hes spent more than all other presidents since WW1 put together, and the economy is still going down. Obamas last ditch effort, lower taxes just like the republicans said he should at the beginning and call it a new "stimulus package". We tried spending our way out of the last Great Depression and look where that got us, and guess what, when Obama tried it again, it failed again.
• Temporarily cut payroll taxes for business by 2 percent.
• Begin releasing oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to drive down gasoline prices. The real problem, Edwards says, is a hodgepodge of regulations that different formulations of gasoline in different parts of the country.
• Cut the corporate tax rate. At 39.2 percent, the U.S. has the second highest corporate tax rate in the world behind only Japan’s 39.5 percent.

This is, you guessed it, Reaganomics. it worked last time, and it will work again. Problem is, Obama cannot admit to following what worked, he must be progressive. Now we'll get to see how that goes.

rising cost of education
Have you wondered about the high cost of college education, or why it is so difficult to obtain grants and funding? This is where your college grants and scholarships are going. We do not have the funds to properly support our states, fund various programs designed to help the very americans that paid for them, and this is where our money is going.
president Obama has yet to articulate his immigration vision other than to support the DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act). This legislation would provide free college tuition and U.S. citizenship to illegal alien minors and those up to 26 years of age.
Armed with citizenship, these “alien minors” then could apply under existing Family Reunification provisions to bring in extended family members, rendering the DREAM Act a form of back-door amnesty.

Obama's debt crisis solution
We've been hearing for months now about how the states have to do more with less. Reduced budgets, cutting payroll, and losing benefits. Fair enough, we all agree that we are taxed enough and raising taxes is not an answer that will work. And then we look at the Federal government. The proposal of another corporate handout, raise taxes, spend more. This seems to be the solution coming out of this administration.
“Across America, governors are being asked to do more with less, often at lower pay than federal employees in their states. The pay gap between governors and federal employees should prompt Congress to take a closer look at federal salaries,” said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., who requested the CRS report. “With our debt and deficits spiraling out of control, now is the time to ask agencies — not just governors — to do more with less.”

My question is, why has the federal government not done the same belt tightening as the rest of the country. Pay scales have not changed, weve seen the biggest government union increase in US history, and the biggest payroll increase.
“Federal employees deserve to be paid adequately, and no one would argue against paying skilled engineers or top-notch doctors and nurses to care for wounded soldiers and veterans,” Coburn spokeswoman Becky Bernhardt told reporters. “It seems to defy explanation, however, why recreation planners, an interior designer, and many other public servants are receiving higher salaries than state governors when our nation is $14 trillion in debt and many taxpayers are struggling to pay their mortgage and make ends meet.”

All this, and yet the Federal government seems content to take our money and give automatic raises every year. For example, our congressmen and senators are paid in Washington, by Washington, so who do they actually work for? They should be paid by the state that they claim to represent, this should include how election funding, or so called 'War Chests' are handled.
Congress is simply the most visible example, there are others who are less visible, but just as highly paid. Do not forget, they are being paid with you're money, are you getting your moneys worth? I end this with a few notes on less obvious employees, please go look for yourselves.
The gap between the lucrative pay scales of federal employees and the average private worker has widened over the last decade to the point that public workers now routinely make more than twice the salary earned in the private sector, according to the Cato Institute.
In 2009, federal employees earned an annual salary of $123,049 compared to just $61,051 in the private sector. In 2000, fed workers made $76,187 annually compared to $46,782 for the average private worker.

drug testing and special privilege
Well lets see, the last time i applied for a job i had to undergo drug testing. Theres this little idea called the 'Drug Free Workplace' that has pretty much encouraged everyone to require drug testing as a part of the application process. Now, the ACLU and Peter Walsh say that its unfair to have government employees tested. I am wondering , if this is invasion of privacy, where were these folks years ago when this idea started?
Gov. Rick Scott signed the law asking job applicants to submit to drug testing earlier this week. The ACLU is asking a federal judge to immediately suspend the executive order signed by Scott in March that requires all agencies to set up random drug testing protocols for existing workers and require new hires to submit to drug tests as a condition of their employment, the Herald reports.

tax and spend, the recipe for a failing economy
this is based on the assumpton you are not paying your fair share so we can enact more entitlement programs.
If the Democrats get their way on taxes, the top combined tax rate would soar to 62 percent, warns economist Stephen Moore of The Wall Street Journal.
Read more on Newsmax.com: WSJ’s Stephen Moore: Tax Rate Will Soar to 62% If Dems Aren’t Stopped
Now that i have your attention, essentially this means that if you have a job and you pay taxes, you will be paying a lot more. Next, to give you a point of comparison, in the 80's when the us economy was steadily growing and seemed to be expected to go on forever, we received a highest marginal rate of 28% from Ronald Reagan. This created one of the biggest economy growths in us history. Our advantage was we had gone to lower taxes when everyone else we traded with had gone to higher taxes. Do you get the picture so far? And now for something completely different.
Now taxes abroad are falling while U.S. rates are set to rise. “What all this means is that in the late 1980s, the U.S. was nearly the lowest taxed nation in the world, and a quarter century later we're nearly the highest,” he explains, even without the proposed increases to come.
all of this and we are arguing on weather to raise our debt even more with the resultant additional raises in taxes. Do these people have an end in sight, or is it 'just send it all in and well decide what to give you'? isnt that what Russia's approach was, and we can now see how well that worked out.

so, we pay them so they can MAYBE pay taxes?
We all knew that government handouts were a bad idea. This just goes to prove it along with the other thing we all knew, when people talk about giving away someone elses money, theres corruption involved. So, to sum up, the General Accounting Office of the federal government knows that some 3,700 companies owe back taxes amounting to $754 million dollars, and then let the bailout committee give them $24 billion in total. This sounds like tax fraud to me, why not arrest them, seize the businesses, and get back the money owed in taxes plus the handout as well. Somehow, that seems to be what happens to us private citizens when we do not pay taxes and ask for a little help from the government. Its definitely time to return to equal under the law, and this definitely is not it.

O'bamaoeing or out of business?
Now obama figures he can run Boing better than the people who are currently operating the business. Of course, that means he will have to take time out of that other unimportant job he has. He has decided to put union labor in charge of policy decisions for companies, while not working at those companies. Now he is law-suiting the right to run a business into the hands of big government, and we all love how they handled the savings and loan crisis, or the wall street crisis, the health care crisis, and now Israel. His main concept seeming to be' do it my way or else', in defiance of known business practices , the responses of the economy, or even the constitution. Even ignoring what he will try to regulate next. government approved cereals for your kids perhaps, this may leave Boeing with the choice of becoming an arm of the government, or doing what many businesses have done, and closing their US portion of their companies.

Mo Money
You may remember the cartoon character who was always wanting more money, but never seemed to have any. This describes Washington, Obama wants to tax his way out of the money problem, Geithner just wants to print more money, and we end up paying for it. Although, this time around it may be different, there seems to be a real interest in making our government live within its means this time. We had the balanced budget amendment a number of years back, but that was promptly and quietly changed in the following years so that the requirements didnt have to be followed. This time the borrowing limit, similar to a credit card limit, is being argued over and it is a significant policy item that can be watched. So if we are vigilant it will not be quietly changed during the next crisis that is manufactured as a distraction. This, if it happens and we do get our government under control, may be the beginning of a mature and stable united states that will endure and provide stability and leadership for the world. If not, we will become another bankrupt nation of people preying on each other to get a leg up. Quite possibly within our lifetimes.http://www.newsmax.com/Murdock/debt-defualt-timothygeithner/2011/05/23/id/397313

rising taxes to solve our problems . . .
I have to wonder, these politicians keep speaking of raising taxes and americans not paying enough. When is the last time you or i had the ability to go to our workplace and say ' i dont have enough money for xxx, so you have to pay more ' ? I have heard virtually no discussion of reducing costs. you know, spend money within out income like you and me. The last time i decided i wanted to purchase something, i had to make the decision of what to do without so i could save up the money for the purchase.
So my question is, why do we let the government do this? If the government is in debt, use the same answer that is used by everyone else in the country - SPEND LESS. yes, this will mean reducing all government paychecks, not just the hourly employees as florida has done with its teachers. Start by cutting all salaried employees pay by say 15%. After all, the majority of the salaried workers are administrative, meaning they do not perform the services that are being argued over. Our government, like our businesses in the 80's have gathered too many administrative political payback jobs that can be done without.

healthcare ?reform? . . .
At this point, the white house has handed out over some 1700 plus waivers to the new healthcare program to avid the big point that is supposed to fix our healthcare system - mandatory health care purchasing. They have gone to unions, corporations such as Mcdonalds, and so forth. Now we are down to handing them out to the white house favorite businesses. So how much of the workforce has now been exempted at this point i wonder.
More importantly, if this healthcare reform is supposed to fix our medical system, in part by including all us citizens, why are there ANY waivers? To me, this is evidence that this program is not about fixing the medical system, but rather about more government control of out lives and our wallets. It also raises a big fundamental question about government and its basis of authority.
This system doesnt prevent or prohibit behavior that will injure other people, which i am sure we all agree with in principle. But rather, mandates that you go out and do things that you may or may not have chosen to do on your own. This goes FAR beyond regulating a society for purposes of safety where the government acts as an entity to interact with other nations, defends our borders and interests, and regulates some activities to prevent those actions from harming others. This law steps into the process of giving you no choice in your actions and controlling what you will and will not do for purposes other than not harming others.
So how do you like being a serf that does things on command? This is the very type of government control that we left europe and fought the revolutionary war to get away from, and now, some people that think they are smarter than everyone else are trying to create it here too.
